INSPIRATION: In each of our lives there comes a moment, which when recognised and acted upon, transforms the course of that life forever. So, take an inspired LEAP of faith and act NOW on what you know and feel is right.
In fact, these pivotal moments are extremely abundant, and transpire daily for all of us. They are not elusive, once in a lifetime, “aha” flashes. We are constantly given the blessing of choice; whether we say yes or no, attend a function or not, take the promotion or leave the company, get married or stay single etc. Living with inspiration requires approaching each day as if it was your last, in order to resonate with your inner heartfelt desires. When you are in tune with yourself, moment by moment choices become effortless and fun. This requires the use of your gut feel, or intuition, and you know what I mean…that voice in your head, feeling in your tummy, the picture you have in your mind’s eye of an outcome or the words on the tip of your tongue. Whichever way it presents to you, you DO have access to your intuition, and a duty to listen to it. But how often do you engage this part of yourself, or do you make choices based on fear, guilt, anger, jealousy? These negative emotions won’t create inspired choices, but will leave you resentful, acting for the wrong reasons, and not living your full potential.
PRACTICAL EXERCISEThe next time you face a dilemma or choice to make, remember it’s like a fork in the road. You simply choose an option in that moment. Yet we often make decisions whilst still holding onto other issues. It‘s important to clear your mind of potentially interfering “stuff”. Sit quietly alone, and write down everything that may be worrying you. Once complete, lay it aside and take ten very slow, deep breaths. Now write down your current dilemma and ask the following questions in relation to it.
1. If I stopped listening to others’ opinions, what might I do?
2. If I take full responsibility for my life, what might I choose?
3. Which option allows me to grow and expand my sense of self?
4. What does my heart long to do?
5. If I let go of any fear and trust myself, what might I consider?
6. If today was my last day, which LEAP of faith would I act upon?
Armed with these responses, make an inspired choice. The more you do this exercise, the more you will trust yourself, and act from inspiration through intuition. Have fun!
